I used to think I was brave in my 20s and 30s. And sure, I made plenty of stupid decisions back then. But some things that people usually get out of their system in their early youth I saved for my late 30s and 40s — and honestly, I’m so glad I did.

If I’d waited another 20 years, I might have regretted missing out. But the beauty of doing these things in midlife is that they came with a clearer head, stronger boundaries, and way better stories. These weren’t reckless teenage moves — they were deliciously thought-through decisions. Okay, maybe some of them were a little reckless. But with intention!
You could call them classic midlife crisis choices — like a man in a tight polo buying a red sports car and dating a woman 30 years younger. But this is my version.

I got tattoos, tried microdosing, pierced my body, was forced to a random career leap without a plan B, started blogging, sent nudes, explored a fetish, moved to the other site of Europe, went to a nude beach, shamelessly flirted with a waiter young enough to be my son, had a full-on public meltdown, learnt to ride a motorbike, started lifting weights always next to the biggest guys in the gym, dyed my hair far from the natural colour, got married in Las Vegas by Elvis, had a regular teenagers breakdowns, rode the highest roller-coaster I could find, wore clothes age inappropriate and maybe flush someone just to check if I still got it.

And guess what? I highly recommend doing all of them. No regrets. Call me for tips.
I’ll dive deeper into each of these adventures in upcoming posts. They deserve their own spotlight. Stay tuned.
